Folding a fitted sheet – Guide
Once you’ve reinvented your guest bedroom by adding a folding bed from Asko Wall Beds, you’ll get to have the exciting task of decorating the room with house plants, candles, seating and anything else to fill the newfound space. In addition to this, you’ll have the chance to purchase new bedding, pillows and throws to make your new bed look even more stunning. There’s nothing easier than using fitted sheets on beds and these are perfect for fitting closely on folding beds. For that reason, we’ve put together a how-to guide to folding tricky fitted sheets and some hot tips for getting hotel-esque bed sheets.
Step #1
Hold the sheet out in front of you. Fold the two corners from the long side together and pinch.
Step #2
Fold in the opposite third corner and tuck it into the already folded corners.
Step #3
Finally, fold in the remaining corner and neaten your fold lines before putting your sheet away to store until you need it.
If your sheet feels messy during folding, trust the process and remember you can neaten your folds at the end.
Tip #1
The first and most important tip is to fold your sheets when they are still hot. As soon as you get them out of the dryer, fold them right away. Heat makes the material more supple and gets rid of creases. So folding when still warm means you’ll get cleaner, crisper folds in your sheets for that fresh hotel look.
Tip #2
Store your sheets neatly on their own shelf and try to refrain from piling duvet covers on top of sheets. This can turn your pristinely folded sheets into a messy heap and undo all your folding action.
Tip #3
Using fitted sheets with a higher thread count will result in less wrinkles which is one of the draws of sheets with a good thread count.
